Maybe you’ve even made it as far as my website, looked through the galleries, imagined what you might wear… and then decided you weren’t quite ready to jump into a full session.
That’s exactly why I love boudoir parties.
They’re a chance to step into the studio, experience what it’s actually like to be photographed by me, and dip a toe into boudoir without committing to a full session.
And if your biggest concern is I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing in front of a camera?
Perfect.
You don’t need to.
You don’t need to know how to pose
One of the biggest misconceptions about boudoir photography is that the women you see in my photographs somehow arrived knowing what to do.
They didn’t.
Posing is my job.
During a full boudoir session, I guide my clients through every pose from beginning to end. A boudoir party micro session works exactly the same way.
I’ll tell you where to put your hands. I’ll adjust your shoulders, hips and legs. I’ll tell you where to look, what to do with your expression and when I want you to move.
And I’m watching all the little details along the way.
The difference is simply that we’re doing three carefully chosen poses instead of an entire boudoir session.
And no, everyone isn’t getting the same three poses
“Micro session” doesn’t mean six women standing on the same X while I run through the same three photographs.
Your posing is still tailored to you.
What you’re wearing matters. Your body matters. Your comfort level matters. Your personality matters. What looks incredible on one woman isn’t automatically what I’m going to do with the next.
You still get the same individualized direction and attention I bring to my full boudoir sessions—just in a much smaller package.
It’s boudoir without making it a whole big thing
Sometimes the hardest part of trying something new is how BIG we’ve made it in our heads.
A full boudoir session is an experience. There’s planning, wardrobe, hair and makeup, a full shoot and an entire gallery of images at the end.
That’s wonderful when you’re ready for it.
But maybe you’re just… curious.
A boudoir party lets you walk into my private Newberry, South Carolina studio, have a drink, spend some time with a group of women doing something outside the usual routine, and step in front of my camera for three poses.
You get to find out what it feels like before deciding whether you ever want more.
And you may be surprised by how quickly the oh God, what do I do with my hands? feeling disappears once we start. 😉
What do you even wear to a boudoir party?
Whatever makes you excited to put it on.
Seriously.
Lingerie is always welcome, but boudoir doesn’t have to mean lingerie.
Wear the dress that makes you feel incredible. Bring the bodysuit you bought and haven’t had an excuse to wear. Wear something glamorous, romantic, dramatic, sexy or completely unexpected.
And for my October party?
Halloween costumes are absolutely on the table.
In fact, I’m encouraging it.
The whole idea behind this one is to step outside of your everyday identity for an afternoon and have a little fun with who you get to be.
Your everyday self will still be there when you get home.
She can have a few hours off. 😛
You can come by yourself
You do not need to round up a group of friends before you can attend this boudoir party.
Tickets are sold individually.
There will be other women doing exactly the same thing.
Have a snack. Have a drink. Talk to people. Get photographed. Cheer somebody else on.
You might arrive alone, but you aren’t spending the afternoon alone.
So… is a boudoir party the same as a full boudoir session?
No—and it’s not supposed to be.
A full session gives us the time to create a much larger, more varied body of work together. We can explore different outfits, poses, sets, expressions and sides of you.
A boudoir party is a little taste of that experience.
Three poses.
Full guidance.
One finished photograph included.
A couple of hours outside your normal routine.

Join Me for the October 25 Boudoir Party
On Sunday, October 25 from 3–7 PM, I’m opening the Bare Elegance studio in Newberry, SC for just six women.
Your $150 ticket includes your fully guided three-pose micro session, your choice of the classic black backdrop or canopy bed, snacks and drinks, and one professionally finished digital image of your choice.
Wear your favorite lingerie. Wear the dress. Wear the Halloween costume that’s a little too much.
For one afternoon, you get to step outside the routine and do something simply because it sounds like fun.
