Two New Fall Boudoir Experiences: Apparition + Bare
Fall is getting two completely different looks at Bare Elegance this year.
For September through November, I’m introducing two limited seasonal boudoir experiences: Apparition and Bare.
Apparition is made for spooky season — strange, atmospheric, a little haunting, and heavily inspired by movement, shadows, sheer fabric and the feeling that someone has just appeared in the frame.
Bare arrives in November and heads in the opposite direction. It’s clean, intimate and unapologetic, built around skin, shape, rich textures and beautifully simple portraits.
One disappears into the photograph.
The other stands completely inside it.
And I’m a little obsessed with both.

APPARITION: A Different Kind of Halloween Boudoir Session
Available September + October 2026
I love spooky season, but I knew from the beginning that I didn’t want Apparition to become a Halloween costume set. Overt is never the vibe when I’m planning themed sessions.
I wanted something stranger and more subtle.
Think old ghost photographs. A figure moving through the woods. A face half-hidden behind sheer fabric. A body caught between sharpness and motion. Black and white images where you’re not entirely sure whether she’s standing still, moving away or about to disappear altogether.
That became Apparition.
These sessions may incorporate intentional motion blur, ghosting, double exposure, sheer fabrics, deep shadows, outdoor locations and photographs that feel a little unsettling in the best possible way.
Some images will be sharp and intimate.
Others will move.
Some may feel more like a piece of artwork than a traditional portrait.
The whole point is to play.
Spooky Boudoir Without the Costume-Shop Vibe
There are plenty of ways to make Halloween-themed photographs fun, but Apparition is for the woman who wants something moodier than pumpkins and fishnets.
The inspiration here is less Halloween party and more haunting old photograph you found tucked inside an attic trunk and now have several questions about.
Sexy can be weird.
Beautiful can be eerie.
And a boudoir photograph certainly doesn’t have to explain itself immediately.

BARE: Intimate Boudoir for November
Available November 2026
After two months of ghosts, movement and disappearing women, November gets very still.
Bare is about simplicity.
Skin. Shape. Fabric. Expression. Light.
The styling is polished without becoming elaborate, and the photographs are designed to keep the attention exactly where it belongs.
On you.
Think beautiful lingerie, bare shoulders, close portraits, rich satin, clean backgrounds and photographs where there’s very little competing for your attention.
Where Apparition plays with what you can’t quite see, Bare is comfortable letting you look.
Boudoir Photos for Christmas and Valentine’s Day
November is also prime time for women planning to give boudoir photographs as a Christmas or Valentine’s Day gift.
And Bare was designed with that in mind.
There’s something particularly good about giving someone a photograph they absolutely did not expect to receive.
But I also happen to believe that ordering your own favorite is part of the fun.
One for them.
One for you.
Maybe twenty for you.
I’m not counting. 😂
Bare sessions photographed in November give you time for holiday portrait orders while also giving you a damn good head start on Valentine’s Day.
Which Fall Boudoir Session Is Right for You?
The easiest way to decide is by mood.
Choose Apparition if you’re drawn to:
- Black and white
- Ghostly or cinematic photographs
- Movement and intentional blur
- Sheer fabrics and shadows
- Outdoor images in the woods
- Artwork that feels unusual, strange or slightly haunting
Choose Bare if you’re drawn to:
- Clean, simple portraits
- Rich color and texture
- Close beauty photographs
- Stillness and strong body-focused images
- Holiday gifting
- Photographs that feel polished, intimate and timeless
There isn’t really a wrong answer.
And yes, technically you can want both. I certainly do.
Your Session Is Fully Guided
Both Apparition and Bare include my fully guided boudoir experience, from posing and expression through your final image selection.
I’ll direct your posing from the placement of your hands all the way down to tiny changes in your shoulders, hips, chin and expression.
You can bring ideas.
You can bring screenshots.
You can walk in and tell me, “Ginny, I have absolutely no clue what I’m doing.”
All three are normal.

Fall Boudoir Sessions at Bare Elegance
Bare Elegance is a private studio in Newberry serving women looking for a boudoir photographer in South Carolina, including clients traveling from Columbia, Lexington and throughout the surrounding area.
Apparition sessions are available during September and October 2026.
Bare sessions are available during November 2026.
